Dermal fillers are a popular, safe, and non-surgical way to improve volume and smoothness to your skin for a natural and aesthetically-pleasing result. Some dermal fillers (Restylane and Juvederm) are based on a hyaluronic acid gel that closely resembles the body’s own hyaluronic acid. Radiesse contains calcium hydroxylapatite microsperes in a gel carrier which helps stimulate the body’s own collagen production.
We offer several types of fillers depending on the degree of the volume loss and the specific area being treated. Certain areas like the lips and eyes need a thinner filler, while cheek volumization will require a thicker, stronger filler. Radiesse works especially well for volume loss on the hands. Drs. Baucom and Mina will discuss with you first to make sure the right filler is selected.
We use the following dermal fillers:
autologous fat transfer
After removing any make-up and cleaning the skin, a topical numbing medicine will be applied to help make the injections more comfortable. Next, Drs. Baucom and Mina will ease the injectable gel under the skin to instantly restore the skin’s volume and smooth away lines such as ‘smile lines’ around the mouth or hollowing under the eyes. Most side effects are mild and temporary and may include pain with injections, bruising and swelling.
The cost of fillers is based on the type and number of syringes used and can range from $600-900.
