COVID-19 Precautions: What You Need to Know
It’s okay to keep your appointment
At Baucom & Mina Derm Surgery, LLC our number one priority is the health and safety of our patients. Following guidelines from trusted sources, including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we’re taking comprehensive measures to ensure that our clinics remain safe and ready to serve you and your families.
We’ve been implementing new measures to protect you and would like to share more details about the changes we’ve made effective immediately:
Call us first
If you or an immediate family member have a fever (over 100.4 F), cough, shortness of breath, or recently traveled, call us first and let us know.
Screening questions
Upon calling or scheduling an appointment with us, you will be asked if you or anyone in your household has traveled internationally within the last 14 days, or has had contact with a known lab-confirmed case of Coronavirus. If this is the case, our staff will advise you on the next steps to help coordinate your care.
Rescheduling
If you have a non-urgent follow up or visit scheduled, you may be asked to reschedule so that we can accommodate patients with more urgent issues. In addition, if you are over 60, particularly with underlying medical conditions or immunosuppressed, it may be prudent to reschedule your visit. Our front office staff can assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
Limiting the number of visitors
We are trying our best to limit the number of people in our offices, so we ask that you please
limit the number of family members present. If possible, leave friends and family at home unless you plan to take Valium or need a driver. While you are waiting for your appointment or slides, you may wait in the waiting room, lobby or in your car if you prefer.
Protecting you in the clinic and ASC
We have always been dedicated to superior hygiene and sanitization in our clinic and ASC.
Given the recent events, we are also vigilantly wiping down door handles to and from the clinic, countertops at check-in/out and other areas that our patients can easily come into contact.
Our patients are our top priority
Our team is working hard to continue to provide excellent care to our patients during this
unprecedented time. Please do not hesitate to call us should you have any questions or concerns. We will be providing updates as more information becomes available.
On behalf of your team at Baucom & Mina Derm Surgery, LLC, it is a privilege to take care of you and your loved ones and thank you for your continued support and trust in us. Stay safe and healthy!
