Fellowship Trained Mohs Surgeon & Board Certified Dermatologist
Dr. Mina has been practicing with Dr. Baucom in the Atlanta area since 2013 and has performed thousands of Mohs procedures. In addition to treating skin cancers, Dr. Mina enjoys performing cosmetic procedures to help patients look and feel their best.
She is an adjunct assistant professor of dermatology at Emory University where she enjoys working with residents and teaching medical school students.
Dr. Mina became a board-certified dermatologist after successful completion of her dermatology board examination in 2012 from the American Board of Dermatology. She went on to receive sub-specialty training with an emphasis on cutaneous oncology, Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction, and laser and cosmetic surgery during a Procedural Dermatology Fellowship at Emory University from 2012 to 2013.
Prior to fellowship training, Dr. Mary Alice Mina received her dermatology training at Harvard Medical School, working at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Boston, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Lahey Clinic, and the Boston Veterans Affairs Hospital. In her final year of training, she was selected as Chief Dermatology Resident and graduated in 2012.
Dr. Mary Alice Mina attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, where she was inducted into the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. After graduating with her medical degree in 2008, she spent her internship in New York City at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Mary Alice Mina graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Science from the University of Hartford in 2003. Dr. Mina is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, and American Society for Dermatology Surgery.
She is also an active member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the Georgia Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.
In her free time, Dr. Mina enjoys spending time with her husband, George, a senior Program Director at IBM and two small children. She enjoys the performing arts and dancing, yoga, cooking, and reading.
